SORE is the new sexy...

 
One has got to wonder why we do the things we do to get FIT.....I mean seriously... why has our society made us all feel the need to be super skinny in order to look ''good''

Yes, you can argue... that we do the things we do - because being FIT is being healthy and looking after one self.... but lets be honest.... the majority of the time... most of us are just exercising and dieting because we want that ultimate summer body. Being ''healthy'' is just an added side effect.

I felt the need to write this post today, purely because I am currently sitting at my desk in complete agony from last nights antics to get FIT....so that I too can achieve my dream summer body.

How we got started...

The Dubai bestie and I made a decision on New Years, that this year - we would cut down on the drinking and up the exercising. Yes, we thought it would help us feel better... but more importantly....mostly we just wanted to get slim and sexy.

For those of you who are naturally skinny, just thank God that you do not have to put yourself through the things we do.....

My Struggle....

Basically the aim of my game is to just eat healthily and completely cut down on the amount that I eat. Typically, my day now involves fruit for breakfast, a small bowl of Special K  for lunch... and dinners are now a mix between a Meal Replacement Shake .... or if I'm super hungry- then a small healthy meal.

I have also slipped into dedicating myself to going to the gym at least 3 evenings per week... but to be honest I have actually been going 4-5evenings... I know...I surprise myself sometimes too...

My weeks are now consisting of 10/11 hour workdays.... followed by immediately heading to the gym for an intense workout... then finally getting home at about 9PM ..hitting the shower....sipping down a healthy shake...and then hitting the sack. Exciting I know.

Becoming FIT is taking over my life.... but I guess this is what you have to do in order to actually become FIT .... your life needs to be a constant. You need to change the way you live for the better and keep at it... that's the only way your going to see results.
